Empowering women and girls through community, skills, and sustainable change.
FEMWAG was born in July 2022 when 42 women and girls came together to confront the challenges they faced in South Sudan — from energy poverty to lack of income-generating opportunities.
United by the belief that women can be powerful agents of change, they launched FEMWAG to train, support, and uplift others facing similar struggles.
In February 2023, FEMWAG was officially registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), marking the beginning of a new chapter in grassroots women-led transformation.
At FEMWAG, we believe that every woman deserves the chance to live a safe, fulfilled, and productive life.
Our purpose is to build skills, restore dignity, and ensure that marginalized women and girls can support themselves and their families.
Whether through briquette-making, savings groups, or climate resilience training — our mission is rooted in practical, life-changing solutions.
Build the capacity of women and girls in income-generating activities through training and community engagement to improve safety and household livelihoods.
A society where women and girls live productive, dignified, and independent lives.
When women thrive, entire communities prosper.
